It Is Really Pretty Simple - Part 2
I thought Luke 11:28 showed what we need to do in a pretty simple way. Well, today, Jesus even makes it more simple. Consider Luke 14:33. Forsake all and follow Him as a disciple. Period. He might show me more tomorrow, but I believe that is as simple as we can get.
What is life? It is not in the abundance of things we own.(Luke 12:15) It is not totally wrapped up in family.(Luke 14:26) It is not about pleasing ourselves.(Luke 14:26) Jesus Christ is life!(John 14:6) Life is figuring out that Jesus is Lord of all, then, forsaking all we have to follow Him by faith. We experience life in the fullest only as we follow Him fully.
If all you ever did was ask Jesus into your heart to forgive your sins, please, prayerfully consider what Jesus said. That isn't it.(Luke 13:24-28) If you think life is all about family, you are missing it.(Luke 12:51-53) There are no excuses for not forsaking all and following Jesus fully.(Luke 14:16-24)
Please don't miss it. It is really pretty simple. It is just not easy. However, it is worth giving Him your all.
