God's Economy
God looks at things differently than we do most of the time. In order to receive His blessings, we have to start thinking and acting like Him, because He blesses us when we do. After all, we are supposed to become like Christ, as believers. Jesus was generous. He gave of Himself for us all the way to death on the cross. He wants us to be generous people, as well. The Lord promises to give us more, if we are generous like Him.(Proverbs 11:25)
That may seem strange, but it is God's economy. As we give away, He adds more to us. Therefore, it is not a get rich quick scheme, because if you become generous just so you will receive, He will stop giving to you and even take it away. It is only for the truly generous people that God keeps giving and giving.
It has been said, "You can't out give God." I have found that to be true. He loves a cheerful giver and a generous person, so that He will make sure we feel His favor when we are generous at heart and in our actions.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Proverbs 12-14.
