Uninhibited Worship

Worship is actively showing God what He is "worth" to us by our words and actions, expressing all that is in our hearts. What does it say when we allow things or other people to cause us to be inhibited in our worship? I think it shows that God is not worth as much as people are to us. That is one reason that David danced before the Lord when the Ark of the Covenant was being brought into Jerusalem.(II Samuel 6:16) He did not care what his wife, Michal, or other people thought. He was pouring out his heart in praise to God.

How will you worship this Palm Sunday? Will you hold back or worship God with all of your heart? I believe people are beginning to see this truth more and more, but we still need to be reminded. If we are uninhibited at a sporting event or when we watch a video, why not be uninhibited in worship of Almighty God? When we consider that Jesus died the most cruel death for us on the Cross, how much praise does He deserve? Let's go to worship today, and let's be determined not to hold back, no matter what anyone thinks about us. Let's show God how much we love Him and thank Him for loving us so much.

Tomorrow, I intend to read II Samuel 7-9.
