The Lord Lives!
Yes, today is the day that we stop to reflect on Christ's cruel death on the cross for our sins. Just as crucial was His resurrection. David served a living Lord and so do we.(II Samuel 22:47) The power of God to deliver us from sin and from our other enemies comes from Jesus' death and from His life. Never forget that we serve a living Lord.
The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus changed history. He was exalted by the Father for His loving death for us, so that He has all authority in heaven and on earth. Now, He ever lives to intercede for us and to give us victory over sin and the trials of life. Take time to focus on His atoning death, bur never discount His life, which assures us of our deliverance every day. Our Living Lord is the Rock of our salvation.
Tomorrow, I intend to read II Samuel 23-24 and I Kings 1-2.
