Where is Your Treasure?
Most of the time spiritual truths are fairly simple to understand. This one is very easy. Jesus told us that our heart will be focused on what we treasure.(Luke 12:34) Therefore, if we desire a close relationship with the Lord Jesus, we must ask ourselves, "Where is my treasure?"
That is pretty simple, isn't it? God looks at the heart. He sees what we treasure. He knows if He is our treasure or not. We can't fool Him. However, we can fool ourselves. We might think He is our treasure, when He isn't. Stop and think. What do you spend most of your time thinking about? What is your heart set on most of the time? If it isn't on the Lord, He is not your treasure. It's that simple. Change your treasure, and you will see your heart change, too.
