Real Rest
I am convinced most people look for rest in the wrong places. People get tired, so they come home and watch TV. They go out to eat, so they don't have to cook. They go on a weekend trip or on a full vacation. All the while they miss the real rest. The real rest comes from the Lord.(Matthew 11:28)
He created you, and He knows what you need. He loves you, and He wants to supply the rest for you, body, soul, and spirit. Only by spending time with Jesus will you find real rest. This is needed on a daily basis, just like we need to sleep each day. Yes, we need vacation times, but not vacations from Him. Even on a vacation, real rest comes from the Lord and spending times of refreshing in His Word and in prayer. Try it! He will not fail to give rest to any who come to Him.
