Faithful in the Fire

It is easy to be faithful to God at church or when we are with our Christian friends. However, the test is when the persecution comes, and we are thrown into the fires of life. How faithful are you then? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were perfectly faithful to God, even though, king Nebuchadnezzar had them cast into a fiery furnace for not worshiping an idol of him.(Daniel 3:25)

Most of us know this Bible story, but do we believe it? Do we know that whether God saves us out of the trials of life or not, we must be faithful to trust Him fully? That is faith. God is the Only God, and we must worship no other gods. When we have that kind of faith, He supports us by His grace. We see that support in this story, because Jesus comes to walk with them in the fire. The same is true for us today. We may not see Him physically with us, but He is there. He will not take us anywhere He is not willing to go with us, if we are truly faithful to Him.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Daniel 5-7.
