Shining Like The Stars Forever
The end of the book of Daniel tells us about a very dark time in the history of the world just before the Second Coming of Christ. At that time, the wise people will shine very brightly like the sky, and those who turn many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever.(Daniel 12:3) I believe this promise from the Lord shows us God's priorities for life.
What does God think is the most important thing for us to do? There is no question about that. God commands us to make disciples. (Matthew 28:19,20) There is no greater thing we can do in life than to show someone else the way of righteousness through Jesus Christ by trusting Him as Lord and living for Him. The closer we draw to Christ's coming the more challenging this will become, but we must be faithful to persevere to the end as His faithful witnesses.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Hosea 2-4.
