Praise for Godly Women

The wisdom of this world praises women for their charm and for their outward appearance or beauty. Women use their charm and beauty to get their way with others. They may or may not be trying to do the right things. God does not look for those qualities in women, because He sees the deceit involved in feminine charm, and He knows the temporary quality of beauty.(Proverbs 31:30,31) God looks for women who trust Him, and He praises them for their good works that proceed from living by godly wisdom. We should do the same thing.

My life is a testimony to the truth of Proverbs 31 about a godly wife who fears the Lord. Chris has been an example of this for all to see for 38 years now. She is beautiful, and her charm enthralls me, but it is her life that rises up to bring her praise from me and from others. The fruit of her life as a wife, a mother, and as a pastors' wife is evident. She has blessed me, our family, and our church by her diligence to love the Lord and to follow Him sincerely. This should be true of every Christian lady. God's Spirit enables all who seek Him and seek to live in this godly way. Just think of the different world in which we would live, if it was filled with women like the one described in Proverbs 31.
