VBS Family Night
We had a great turn-out for our VBS family night program and fellowship. Donna, Wendy, and Penny, as well as all of the other leaders, teachers, and helpers did a wonderful job with everything. Like Donna said, it is amazing what can be done when God's people work together in unity. I appreciate everyone who took part this week.
I was so thankful to see all of the parents and grandparents who came out tonight. Sometimes in the past we have not had a good number of family members and children come for the family night, but this year was great. Everyone was so enthusiastic and appreciative. It says a lot for the families we have in our church, our academy, and our community.
Children need to learn God's Word on Sundays, in AWANA on Wednesdays, and in VBS. However, they need to see the Word of God lived out by their parents and grandparents, too. That really makes an impact on those young hearts and minds.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 98-101.
