Rejecting God

Of course, there are a lot of people who do not believe in God. They do not think He exists, and they do not agree with His Word, the Bible. The fact that they reject Him and His Word does not eliminate God. If God exists, it doesn't matter if we think He exists or not.

I was reading a response from a person on Facebook the other day about being a "sinner." They said that because they do not believe in God, they can't be called a sinner, because they do not believe in sin. I think that is the reason for a lot of people who reject God. They are trying to get away with sin or to make themselves feel better in their sin. Their unbelief is a moral problem.

Job 40:8 alludes to this problem. People seek to annul God's judgment or to condemn God, so they can be justified. That is not a very smart way to think. The only rational explanation for the existence of a complex universe and complex creatures like human beings is that a Great Designer created all of it. Nothing orderly and complicated is created by random chance, no matter how long a period of time is allowed for development. Therefore, people who argue with or reject God are saying they know more than the One who designed and created the entire universe out of nothing. No human being is ever going to win that argument.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Job 41-42 and Psalm 1.
