Every Christian's Job

Today, I have been praying for our friends who are in Haiti helping the victims of the earthquake. We have prayed for their safety and for their effectiveness. I am sure they want to do whatever they can to save lives and to alleviate suffering. I know they will make a valiant effort in the power of the Spirit.

At the same time my heart has shifted to our situation here in the USA. We are in a similar situation and each Christian is a member of the rescue team. There are millions of souls that need to be rescued by the Gospel of Jesus, and it is up to us to deliver it to them before it is too late. We can't just drop off the supplies either, we are to show them Jesus by allowing Him to live through us. Then, they can be freed from the burden of sin once and for all.

It is really not a complicated procedure. If each one of us would rescue another person and then, show them how to rescue one, too, the multiplication would accomplish the task in a short time. We can't save the world, but we can reach one. If each of us reached one and realized that is our responsibility, we could change our world. Let's get into the disaster zone and do what we can for the Lord. It will mean everything to that one person we touch.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Exodus 14-16.
