37 Years and 50 Million Babies Murdered
I went to the "Walk for Life" today along with 3 other men from our church. It is always a solemn time to consider the holocaust that has taken place in the USA since January 1973. I think this rally and march was even more sobering. They took time to present the numbers of babies killed each year since 1973. As the figures were read a sign was held up with the grim report until there were 37 signs in front of us which added up to about 50,000,000 souls. It was a stunning visual.
As I have taken time to consider the magnitude of the tragedy, I realized something. Think of how often we heard about the 2,000 American soldiers killed in Iraq or the almost 3,000 people who were murdered on 9/11/2001. How many times have you heard the total number of abortions in the USA given on the network news? I don't believe I have ever heard it or seen it except on conservative talk radio or some Christian broadcasts. How can our country be so heartless and selfish? It is a sign of the hardness of the hearts of many people in America.
The only hope for America is a heaven sent revival among God's people and an awakening among those who don't know Jesus. The question is, "Will God send a revival and an awakening to a nation which has shed so much innocent blood, or will He just send His judgment?"
Tomorrow, I intend to read Exodus 24-27.
