The Run for the Bun
The first annual "Run for the Bun" went well this afternoon. It was a fund raiser fun run/walk for the Pregnancy Resource Center of Henry County. I would estimate that there were over 300 people there for this event. It was a great success, raising a lot of money "to keep the bun in the oven." I appreciate all of the folks from our church who turned out or who contributed. It is such a worthy cause.
It is terrible that our society has accepted abortion. Murdering a baby is not the solution to the problem. I pray that each of us will do our best to put an end to this shedding of innocent blood in our country. Also, I pray that we will do our part to help ladies who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy. Once the bun is in the oven, there is no need to condemn the mother, either. She needs to know the love of Christ and the forgiveness He provides. That is what happens at the Pregnancy Resource Center on a daily basis. Maybe, you would like to be a volunteer one day a week. It is a worthy ministry.
The very least we can do is add the Center to our prayer lists and ask God to bless the efforts to save souls and to save lives in Henry County.
Tomorrow, I intend to read II Samuel 6-8 and Luke 15:1-10.
