June 22 - Psalms 126-130

Over the years God has used these psalms to speak to me in some very special ways. I hope they are a blessing to you, too. Isn't it wonderful to be able to look back and to remember how God has used His Word to encourage us?

Psalm 126 is about the time when the people came back to Jerusalem after the Exile. It was so great to be back home. It was like they were dreaming. They were so happy, rejoicing in the Lord. They went out with tears, but they came back with rejoicing. This psalm is often used to portray the process of witnessing, too. If we go out with God's Word and a soul that weeps for the unbelievers, we will come again rejoicing with the fruit God has given us.

Psalm 127 is the family psalm for me. God loves the family. He wants to build up families, and He wants us to raise our children to be mighty in the Lord, so we can send them out into the world to do His will. I pray your family is being built and blessed by God. I pray that you realize that the wife is the heart of the home, and that you will see your grandchildren as it says in Psalm 128, too.

Psalms 129 and 130 remind us to seek the Lord, so He can protect us and bless us in every way. Don't try to live your life without Him. Don't try to raise your family without Him. If your trust is in the Lord, you can see Him bless you abundantly.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 131-135.
