No Remedy
Most people put off doing what they should do, and they think they will have time to do it later. However, when we procrastinate, we can get into some very bad situations. In fact, we can get to the point where there is no remedy for our rebellion. Yes, God is merciful, but His mercy does have an end. We must not push God to His limit, or else we will feel His wrath.
That is what happened to the people of Judah. (II Chronicles 36:16) They mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, till there was no remedy. Please, remember these were God's people, but they presumed upon the grace of God to the point where God destroyed them, Jerusalem, and the temple. We must not let this happen to us today.
How many times have we heard someone deliver a message from God that was very clear, but we saw those around us mocking the messenger, acting like God's messenger didn't know what he was talking about. I am afraid we see this happening all around us today, and it even happens in some churches when the truth of God is proclaimed. We must never despise God's words, but we must accept them as truth and live by them, no matter what others around us may say.
People might think that the ways of God are "old-fashioned" and out of date. They may think that we have to change with the times. However, God's truth is absolute, and when we go against His truth, we are getting close to His punishment and His ultimate judgment. Please, don't reject the Lord's messengers and His words, until there is no remedy for you. Remember, the moment we die we are either saved or lost. There is no second chance after death.
