Being Heard by God

 We all have the opportunity to pray to the Lord so that He can hear the desires of our hearts. Whether we take that opportunity seriously or not is up to us. However, sometimes when we pray to the Lord we do not get heard the way we would like because we go to Him in the wrong manner. We must always remember that He is God, and we can't boss Him around, just dictating to Him what we want Him to do.

David gives us one of the keys to being heard by God. We need to always keep this in mind as we pray. (Psalm 10:17) He told us that God has heard the desire of the humble. so that He will prepare his heart and cause His ear to hear him. Sounds pretty simple, but there is a lot for us to consider here.

God's ear is tuned in to the humble. When we are humble, we realize that we can't do anything without the Lord  We are set on doing His will since we know that all of His will is good, but our desires can be flawed, even if we think we are asking Him for the right thing. Therefore, we come seeking our desire, but we are so open to what He wants for us.

When we do that He prepares our heart. It might need to be changed before He can grant our request. We might need to make an adjustment in our life so He can deliver to us what we desire and need. When we are humble, we are like clay in His hands to prepare us in His way. Then, His ear will hear us well, and we will have the satisfaction of knowing He was pleased with how we came to Him.
