Annul God's Judgment?

Some of us are good at arguing with other people. When we think we are right, we will go to great links to try to convince the other person of that. For some of us it comes from a desire to be in control, too. Whatever the reason is for us to argue, we need to make sure we are right, or we can be really embarrassed when the other person overwhelms us with the truth.

That is just what God did to Job. Job so wanted to present his case to God for being mistreated by Him that he didn't think of how unwise that was. So God asked Job questions. (Job 40:8) "Would you annul My judgment? Would you condemn Me that you may be justified?" Those questions should cause us to think deeply about ourselves and our situation in life.

If we get upset with God when our prayers are not answered in the way we wanted them to be answered, what are we really saying? It seems to me that we are saying to God that His judgment was wrong. We are saying to God that what we were planning is right and what He was doing was wrong. My question back to all of us is this, "Are we really that dumb?" Do we think the Creator and Ruler of this vast universe is wrong? Do we really think His judgment should be annulled?"

It is very presumptuous of us to want to condemn God so we can be justified. Who are we to correct God on anything? We need to back up like Job had to do and stop before we get in trouble like he did. Let's just all decide right now that whatever God's says is always right, and when He says no to a prayer of ours, He has a very good reason for saying that. Believe me, that is the right thing, the wise thing to do in every situation of life.
