Avoiding a Snare

None of us wants to fall into a trap. However, life is full of traps that can snare us and cause us pain. God wants us to know how to be protected from the snares of life and live in His blessings. I am sure we can all relate to this truth. Are you stuck in any snares right now? Let's see how to get out of them.

There is one main thing that brings a snare into our life. We may not think about it, but it affects all of us in one way or another. (Proverbs 29:25) "The fear of man brings a snare, but the one who trusts in the Lord will be protected." We must learn to avoid the danger that comes from having a fear of other people, or we will constantly fall into snares.

God doesn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. That means that any fear we experience did not come from God. Yes, we should be cautious of things that can hurt us, but we should not act based on a fear of what other people want us to do. When we let others drive our words and actions, we will commit sins and fall into snares.

The solution is to fear the Lord instead. When we fear the Lord, we will trust Him to lead us in every situation of life, even if we go against what others want us to do. God will always lead us in the right way. He will lead us away from the snares. We must be concerned about pleasing God, first and foremost. That way, we will be protected from those sins that come from fearing others.
