God Doesn't Reject Anyone

Sometimes when people are powerful and important, they look down on other people as being beneath them. They might not want to have anything to do with them. They would even have a hard time understanding them, because they are so different from them. It is never that way with God, though He is greater by far than any human being. God doesn't reject anyone.

Elihu knew this and pointed it out when he was giving his response to Job. (Job 36:5) He simply said that God is mighty, but He does not reject anyone; He is mighty in strength of understanding. God understands us completely, and He still loves us. In fact, His strength of understanding makes Him love us more and never reject us.

The Bible tells us that God knows we are dust. After all, He created us. He knows the weakness of our physical frame. He knows the sensitivity of our mental faculties. He sees us when we fail, and even though He never condones our sin, He knows how we could be tempted and fall into those sins. That is part of why He never rejects anyone.

Also, God created us with the ability to choose to love Him. He gave every one of us the ability to trust Him. He is longing to have fellowship with us. If He rejected any of us, He would be going against His love and His purpose for bringing us into the world. God knows that any moment we could turn from our ways and trust Him in love. He is giving every one of us that option and hoping we take Him up on it.
