The First Resurrection

Jesus was the first person to be raised from the dead, who never died again because He received His eternal body. The same thing will happen to all of us, as believers. We will be resurrected from the dead or changed in the twinkling of an eye at the Rapture of the church. Then, those who come to believe during the Great Tribulation will be resurrected before Christ comes for the Millennium. This is a glorious reality.

John told us about this when He wrote the book of Revelation. (Revelation 20:6) He told us that blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For then the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him a thousand years. I pray we are all part of the first resurrection.

There are huge benefits to being born again. We are changed into new creatures in Christ. We receive the Holy Spirit, and we are gifted to serve the Lord. We still live in the flesh until we die or the Lord calls us up in the Rapture, but we only die once. Our physical death is just an entrance to being with the Lord forever. 

Those who are not born again, born twice, will die twice. They will die physically, and then after the Millennium, they will be resurrected to stand before the Great White Throne Judgment. Once the Lord has shown them how they rejected His revelation of Himself to them, they will be cast into the Lake of Fire to experience eternal death forever. Please, turn to the Lord Jesus so this won't happen to you.
