The Fruits of Our Labor

 As I have said before, work is not a bad thing. When God created Adam, He gave Him work. Work is good for us. It should be a priority for us to work and to be productive in our work. That is how God intends for us to have what we need for our life and to have an enjoyable life. 

God makes this clear in His Word. (Ecclesiastes 3:13) We should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of our labor, for these are gifts from God to us. Most of the time we think the fruits of our labor as what we have accomplished ourselves. That is never the case. God gives each of us the ability to work and to bear fruits from it, so they really come from God, not us.

We are to do whatever we do, as if we were doing it for the Lord. All of our work should be a service for His glory. This is true even for the most menial job. If we work, and do it well, God will bless us to have the money and things we need for life. This will be different for each of us.

Then, we can be happy and enjoy life, whether we have a lot or a little. We look to God who gave us strength, we thank Him for His blessings, and we enjoy what He has given us. Yes, it is that simple. I have seen many people in poor countries, who are very happy and enjoying life, because they look at life in this way,
