It's Wonderful to be Young

When we are young, we don't really know how well we have it. We are physically able to do a lot of things, because we have a lot of energy and strength. We can engage in all types of activities. We have many new experiences that are so fun. It is a great time of life to enjoy while we have all of these abilities. However, we need to be careful, too.

The Bible gives us the right viewpoint with a warning. (Ecclesiastes 11:9) Young people, it's wonderful to be young. Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do. It would be great if every young person realized this fact of life.

When we are young or older, we have all kinds of dreams and desires. The Lord wants us to experience life to the fullest. He wants us to go places and enjoy ourselves, as we relate to other people. All of those things are blessings from God, as we have seen in other verses. However, there are things that we shouldn't do, too.

God is keeping a record of what we do. Of course, He has established right and wrong, good and bad. If we allow ourselves to be drawn in by the world, the flesh, and the devil, we can find ourselves engaging in sinful things. Then, when we stand before God, we will have to give an account for those things. We will not be able to give a good reason for doing them, so we will be so ashamed of what we have done, as we hear that from the Lord Jesus, Himself.
