Abundance for Every Good Deed
God wants us to be generous to others, especially when we see those who have special needs. All we have comes from God. It is His. We are just stewards of His resources when He allows us to have them. God cares about the needs of all people. Therefore, He wants us to care and to use His resources to meet the needs of others. However, sometimes we are not as generous as we should be. It is because we have a wrong conception. We think if we give to others then we will have less for ourselves. That is not the case if we are doing the good deeds that God wants us to do. Yes, we can't help everyone, but when God leads us to help someone, He has a way for us to do just that. (II Corinthians 9:8) Paul explained this principle well as he was inspired by the Holy Spirit. God is able to make all grace abound to us. He is able to give us more than we need in every area, so that always having all sufficiency, we may have an abundance for every good deed. Let me explain some.
Grace is God's free gift to us. We are saved by grace, not by works. Salvation is a free gift. Also, God gives us grace when we are facing trials, since we are weak. He enables us to overcome in His strength. That is a free gift of His grace. Here in this case, God's grace is supplying whatever we need, because we do not have it already. He doesn't do that for everything we want. That is not what this is saying. It is saying that God does this when there is a specific need He has commanded us to meet. We need to have faith in God's ability to make all grace abound to us. We need to move forward in faith, helping to do the good deed as God has shown us. Then, God will ensure we have an abundance to accomplish His will for the good of others. In this we see the heart of God. We see His power, and we see how He wants us to trust Him in doing the good deeds. Then, we will see the grace of God unleashed to do amazing things, much more than we could ever do on our own, and our needs will not go unmet.
