Discovering the Knowledge of God

 What does it really take for us to discover the knowledge of God? That is a vital question for all of us to answer. I am not talking about a shallow, surface knowledge of the Almighty. I am speaking of the real, true knowledge of God and His nature. Solomon was blessed to have that knowledge as a gift from God, but he was inspired by God to show all of us how to receive what he had received. (Proverbs 2:3-5) Let me just tell you up front, it is not easy. It takes time. However, it is worth every ounce of strength and every second of our time.

To discover the deep knowledge of God, we must cry out for discernment. That is the quality of being able to assess things according to the truth and not error. We must lift of our voice to the Lord asking Him for this understanding of things. Then, we must wait for Him to show us. As we do these things, we must seek them as seeking silver or hidden treasure. It must be our passion, our goal every day, doing whatever it takes to get them. Then, we will come to discern the fear of the Lord. We will see God clearly and have a healthy fear of His greatness and glory. We will discover the knowledge of God and revel in knowing Him closely. That is what God wants for all of us.
