God Roars Like a Lion
God told Hosea to prophesy to the people of Israel that one day the people would end up following Him. (Hosea 11:10,11) That would be a day of great rejoicing for the Lord, Himself. He will roar like a lion and roar mightily. A lion roars because he is protective of his "pride," which is his family. It will please God so much to have His children back in their homes after being in Egypt and Assyria. The same is true for us today. God would be very pleased, if we would come home to Him, and walk with Him as His family. I pray we will all see this truth about God.
God loves us so. He desires a close, personal relationship with each of us, so He can lavish His love on us. His heart's desire is to have His spiritual family, all believers, to be around Him safe and sound all of the time. However, sometimes we wander off. Then, His heart is sad, and He does whatever it takes to get us back. As we have noted, that requires some punishment, at times. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love us. It means the opposite. He is protective of His family, and He is trying to get us to stay close to Him and benefit from His love and protection. Please, don't ever forget this about God's heart. I pray we will not break His heart by departing from Him, but we would hear Him roar over us with a mighty roar.
