A Granite Safe House

 Things are getting pretty serious in our world today. People are asking if it is the end times, because of all of the natural disasters and turmoil in the world. There is no way to know for sure how soon Jesus will come to receive His children. Things could get much worse before that happens. However, there is nothing for us, as believers, to fear. God showed the prophet Joel this many years ago, when there were terrible things happening around His people. God was roaring from heaven and shouting from Jerusalem. The earth and the sky were quaking in terror. (Joel 3:16) However, God let His people know that He was a safe hiding place for them in the time of storm. He was a granite safe house for His people. The same is true for us today.

People wonder what will happen to our economy, and they fear they will run out of money. We see all types of outlandish things happening because of the elections that are approaching soon. People are afraid of what might happen to our country's stability. We are told that our enemies are spying on us, trying to influence our country and even planning to attack us in one way or another. None of this should surprise believers. We should not be afraid. We are safe in the arms of the Lord. He is a safe hiding place, a granite safe house. He will take care of us, no matter what happens all around us and around the world. He will either protect us or take us home to be with Him. Either way, we are completely safe. I pray we all have that peace in our hearts that God told Joel to proclaim.
