Don't Worry! The Enemy is Outnumbered.

God used Elisha to protect the king of Israel from the king of Aram. God would tell Elisha exactly what the king of Aram was about to do, and he would inform the king of Israel, so he could escape from being trapped or caught off guard. This made the king of Aram so mad when he found out what was happening that he sent a huge army to kill Elisha. Elisha was in Dothan with his servant, who went outside, only to see the army all around the city. The servant was terrified and returned to give a report of the danger facing them. Elisha calmed his servant by assuring him that the forces on their side were more than the ones on the other side. He prayed for God to open his eyes to see this reality, and God did it. The servant looked out, and he saw the whole mountainside full of horses and chariots of fire to protect Elisha. (II Kings 6:16,17) I pray that God would open our eyes to this reality, so we will not be guilty of worrying, too.

Remember, our real enemies are Satan and his demons. We do not wrestle with flesh and blood, but with spiritual forces. (Ephesians 6:12) When people come against us, they are not the real problem, it is Satan and his forces working in their lives. God will protect us, if we put on the whole armor of God, and we stand in it against Satan's schemes.(Ephesians 6:14-18) Don't worry Satan is no match for God. God is all-powerful, while Satan is only a fallen angel. God is omnipresent, while Satan can only be in one place at a time. God is omniscient, while Satan's knowledge is very limited. Also, Satan and his forces are outnumbered by God and his angels. (Revelation 12:4,9) When God kicked Lucifer out of heaven  for his rebellion, he and one third of the angels were cast down to the earth, since they sided with Satan. (The dragon whose tail drew a third of the stars of heaven to earth.) That means there are twice as many angels as demons, too. See what I mean! We have nothing to worry about! If God is for us, who can be against us. (Romans 8:31) Let's stop worrying and start trusting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Once we are His, we have nothing to fear.
