God's Grace is Sufficient
We are saved from our sins by God's grace, but we need His grace every day to live the Christian life as we should. This great promise from the second letter of Paul to the church at Corinth assures us that His grace is always sufficient for us in any situation. (II Corinthians 12:9) In fact, we can boast in our weaknesses, because when we are weak, Christ's power comes to our rescue and makes us strong. This is a precious promise, indeed.
We can't save ourselves from sin. That is why we need the gift of salvation from God. That gift comes once we trust in Jesus Christ, as the Only Lord and Savior, and we ask Him to be our personal Lord and Savior. When we come to know Him, then, we are to become like Him and be His ambassadors in this world. We can't do that ourselves, either. We have to have the gift of God's grace every day and in every circumstance of life, so we can overcome our weakness, which is our flesh, and we can do God's will as Jesus would do it. The great news from this promise is that this will always happen as we trust God for His power to be applied in our lives. He will never fail us, but we have to trust Him and obey what He says to us. I pray that we will all be relying on God's grace every day, and we will be showing His power to all the world around us.

Tomorrow, I intend to read II Corinthians 13 and Galatians 1-3.
