Filled with Power or Powerless?
What is the spiritual power level in your life? That is a great question for all of us to ask ourselves, as believers. I am afraid many of us feel helpless and powerless. That is not God's will for any believer. God's will is for His children to be filled with power by the Spirit of the Lord. Micah affirmed that to be his testimony. (Micah 3:8) I pray that we all can share Micah's testimony as being our own testimony today and every day of our life.
Micah was a true believer and prophet of God. He was living in the midst of many false prophets and unfaithful believers. It was a very difficult time in the life of Israel and Judah. Micah was having to stand up for God when it was not very popular at all. God was calling on him to proclaim Jacob's rebellion and Israel's sin. He was able to do this well, because he was filled with power by the Spirit of the Lord. The Holy Spirit was showing him true justice, and He was filling him with courage. We live in just such a time today. I pray that we are filled with the Holy Spirit by yielding our lives fully to Him, so that we can proclaim justice and confront sin, while having the courage of the Lord. That is God's purpose and plan for all believers.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Micah 4-6.
