Demonstrating God's Holiness

It is God's plan to show the world who He is by demonstrating His holiness through those who believe in Him. This was true for Israel in the Old Testament, and it is still true for the church today. (Ezekiel 28:25) If God's people fail to listen to Him and allow Him to use us in this way, we miss out and those around us miss out, too. I am sure it breaks God's heart when He can't bless us, and those around us fail to come to know Him. That is why we need to make it a priority to allow God to demonstrate His holiness through us.

The word holy means to be set apart, to be "different." The ways and thoughts of God are not like the ways and thoughts of this world. Satan is the prince of this world, and he has deceived most people into believing and doing the opposite of what God wants. Therefore, if we do God's will, we will be different from those around us, and they will see the difference. Then, we can tell them about the Lord and how He enables us to have an abundant life in line with His design for us. Of course, we can't do this on our own, but God does it through us when we surrender to Him and do whatever He tells us to do. When we fully surrender to the Lord Jesus in faith, we will be empowered to do things that would be impossible for us to do our own. Then, people will know for certain that those things had to come from the Living God working in and through us.
