Exaltation
God is the Exalted One. There is no one higher than Him. However, we would like to be exalted, too. Everyone has a desire to be special, to be held in esteem. However, most people are looking in the wrong places. We look in every direction for a way to be exalted, but we can't find it. The psalmist saw this and told us the source of exaltation. (Psalm 75:6,7) It is important for all of us to know this.
While many people are seeking exaltation in this world from the east, the west, or even from the desert, God is the Judge, so He alone brings one down and exalts another. The key to God's exaltation is that He bases it on our heart condition. When He sees a humble heart of service for Him, He will exalt that person. However, when sees pride and selfishness, He brings that person down. Therefore, our aim should be to please the Lord, not to be exalted by anyone in this world. #nhbaptistdotorg
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 76-78.
