Where Do You Live?
How happy are you with where you live? Some people think that having the right house will cause them happiness. Others think it is the place they live that brings them happiness. It seems that I hear all of the time about people who long to retire in a certain place, and they think it will lead them to real satisfaction. I do not think that any of these things are really effective in helping us to be fulfilled in our lives. The sons of Korah who wrote some of the psalms realized where true abundant living comes from. (Psalm 84:10) What they found is still true today. I wonder how many of us live in this place. I hope we all will see this.
The psalmist went to God's house regularly. It was being there to worship the Lord with God's people that brought him true happiness and satisfaction. He came to say that one day in God's courts was better than a thousand days somewhere else. He realized that he would rather stand by the door of God's house than to live in the tents of wickedness. His heart was fully set on the Lord, so being in His house with His people brought him to experience real life. How about you? Where is your heart?
Today, we have the church. It is not a building. It is people. When we find the right spiritual family and spend time every chance we get worshiping Him and studying His Word together, it makes a huge impact in our lives. We get to the place where we live in the Spirit and walk with the Lord. Living there is better than anywhere else in this world. I pray we all will live in God's House and in the middle of His will.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalm 85-88.
