How Much God Loves People
Job was having a terrible time of suffering and the grief that went along with it. His friends did not help his situation at all. In fact, they made it worse each time they spoke to him. However, Job would answer them honestly, and he would set them straight about his situation, since they did not understand. Even though Job was wanting to die, and he wanted God to just forget about Him, God would not. Because of his life experiences and relationship with God, Job knew this truth, and he expressed it to his friends. (Job 7:17) We can all benefit by keeping the things Job told them in our minds each day.
Job's rhetorical question made several points about how much God loves people. God loves all people so much that He has exalted us to the point where we can have a relationship with God. He has made much of us. God has set His heart on us, because of His love. He desires for us to return that love and enjoy an eternal love relationship with Him. That is why He comes to us every morning to reveal Himself to us in a new, fresh way. This is to get our attention on Him. If we will stop to acknowledge Him, we can spend all day with Him guiding us and empowering us. Also, He tests us every moment to let us see how much we trust Him. That way if our faith is waning, we can repent and renew our loving faith in Him. All of this is because of how much God loves all people. How are we doing at loving Him back? Isn't that the most important thing we can do in life? After all, He is the Creator and Lord of all. Being friends with Him is a very big deal.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Job 8-10.
