The Glory of the Lord Filled the House
Ezekiel was shown a model of a temple that will be built in Jerusalem in the future. It will be much bigger than the previous temples, and it will be built on the holy piece of ground, surrounded by the land for the Levites and the Prince. Once Ezekiel gave the entire dimensions and the description of everything, he was taken into the inner court. There he saw the glory of the Lord fill the house. (Ezekiel 43:5) The presence of the Lord was so strong that it could be seen. We need a manifestation of His presence in our churches today.
When we come to worship the Lord each Sunday, we are God's saints assembling to give Him all of our praise and all of the glory due His name. If we are all filled with the Holy Spirit, and we worship in one accord, God is very pleased with our expressions of worship. Every Sunday, it is my prayer that we will see or feel the glory of the Lord fill the house. I have felt it many times, but I long for it every Sunday. Wouldn't that be fantastic! Let's set our hearts to worship Him in such a worthy way that He will grace us with His glory filling the house, as His Spirit fills all of us. What a wonderful time of worship that would be.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezekiel 46-48 and Daniel 1.
