Manifest God's Holiness
The people of God are to be different than the people of this world. We are to manifest His holiness to the nations of the world, so they can see the nature of God shining through us. (Ezekiel 28:25) That was true of Israel in the Old Testament, and it is true of every believer now. How are you doing?
When God gathers His people from this world, as He did for Israel when we brought them back from exile, and as He does for us when He saves us and sets us apart for Him, we are to be holy as He is holy. That way people see the supernatural work of God in us. If we live in a way that we could only live by His direction and power, they have to realize God is real, and He really saves people for Himself. If our speech is different, they can see it. If our desires are for the good and not for the bad, they see His work. If we are able to show self-control and discipline, they know it must come from the Living God, because we could not be that way on our own. Therefore, if you are a child of God, ask Him to enable you to live like one, to be like the Lord Jesus, who is the very image of the Father. Let His Spirit guide and empower you each day, and then, give God all of the glory, so people see Jesus in you.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezekiel 29-31.
