God Has Dealt Bountifully With Me
David had many troubles in his life, and some were very serious. However, when he stepped back to look at the big picture, he realized that God had dealt bountifully with him. (Psalm 13:5,6) Because of that, David was always ready to rejoice and to sing to the Lord. We should stop to consider our lives, and I believe we will find the same reality.
Our salvation is God dealing with us bountifully according to His mercy. None of us deserve to be forgiven of our sins, but God in His mercy made a way for forgiveness through the cross of Christ. However, He did not stop there, He gave us so much mercy, that He adopted us into His family and gave us eternal, abundant life. That is bountiful salvation, and it should cause us to rejoice in our salvation all of the time.
Then, after salvation God continues to supply our needs bountifully, even though we have troubles, and we do not always gets what we want. We must not be selfish, so that we think more about our troubles and the things we do not get. Our hearts should be grateful and sing to the Lord for the bounty we do have. Then, we should show that attitude to everyone with whom we come into contact.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 14-16.
