A Pathless Wilderness

Job gave a description over 4,000 years ago that fits American perfectly today. (Job 12: 23,24) The leaders of our country have had their understanding taken away, so that now they wander in a pathless wilderness. They are lost, and they have no idea which way to go. They think they know, but God has taken away their understanding because they have forsaken Him. It is a pitiful state for anyone to be in, but especially for leaders.

Job knew that God makes nations great, and He also destroys them. He makes them great, when they follow Him, and He destroys those who reject Him. He enlarges them and guides them, when they will listen. However, those who rebell against Him, He takes away the understanding of the leaders, so that they wander aimlessly with no path out of the wilderness.

I pray that the leaders and the people of America will turn back to God, so we can find the path out of this wilderness in which we find ourselves.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Job 13-15.
