The Help of Man is Useless
I am afraid many people are waiting for the help of man to get us out of our problems. The psalmist knew that the help of man was useless.(Psalm 108:12) God's help is the only thing that can get us out of our troubles.
Politicians and judges have their place, but when it comes to really solving the main problems of life, they are useless. They can't give us what we need to live an abundant life. Doctors are wonderful, but they can't give us eternal life. Police and firefighters can save us from troubles temporarily, but only God saves us from our troubles in heaven forever.
It is time for Christians to stop waiting for the help of man and to start crying out to the Lord for some real, lasting help from our troubles.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 109-111.
