There is Always Hope

You may be experiencing the anger of God against sin in your life, but do not give up. There is always hope. Our country is experiencing the anger of God against our sins, like Israel and Judah experienced in the Old Testament times, but we should not give up. There is always hope.(Isaiah 9:17) When God's punishment comes on us for being hypocritical evildoers, who speak folly, there is always hope because of the nature of God. He may be pouring out His fierce anger, "but His hand is stretched out still." The question is, "Will we reach out to take His hand and go His way, trusting Him instead of ourselves and our ways?" Therein lies our hope that is constantly extended to us by the loving, merciful hand of God.

The new president of the Southern Baptist Convention, Ronnie Floyd, is calling our churches to take God's hand in prayer and cry out for revival and awakening in America. Will we heed this call? Will we take God's offer seriously, so that we can see people changed and our country changed? God's hand is stretched out still, even in 2014 in the USA. There is hope, but it depends on us and no one else. I pray that God's people will rise up in prayer to take God's hand in these last days. I pray that we will believe that revival and awakening are possible, because of God's nature. I pray that we will see it happen very soon.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 10-12.
