God Has Been Good To You
God is good! God has been good to you. I can say that with confidence. God is good to everyone, and He gives us all so much more than we need. Job's story is in the Bible to show us just that reality. Job suffered terribly. His suffering was not brought on by his sin, so he did not really deserve it. However, God was still so good to him that his losses we restored, and he had twice as much as he had before he was struck.(Job 42:10) God is a gracious, loving God, and that is how He works.
You may be skeptical about this truth, but please, consider what I am saying. Material possessions and pleasures are not the only things that bring value to our lives. The simple joys of relationships and enjoying God's creation are very satisfying. People all around the world experience the blessings of God, even if they never know Him as Lord. He gives each individual the opportunity to trust Him and spend eternity in heaven, and for those who might die too young for a relationship with Him on earth, they are taken to heaven to enjoy His presence forever. God is always good, and He is always good to all of us in His time and in His way.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 1-3.
