Resounding Joy !

What we have in our hearts comes out of our mouths when we worship the Lord. Our hearts should be filled with resounding joy for the Lord's love and grace toward us, so that we should worship Him with resounding joy. That is why David could instruct the leaders of the Levites to appoint the musicians to play and to sing by raising their voices with resounding joy.(I Chronicles 15:16) I believe that is especially true for us on this day we consider the perfect sacrifice of the Lamb of God for us on the Cross of Calvary.

We should not have anything but resounding joy when we consider the Creator of the universe loves us, so that He became a man, who could shed His blood to redeem us from sin and Satan. Resounding joy is the result of knowing that we are secure in Christ, because He has paid for our sins and pronounced us righteous before Him, not because of our works, but because of His work on the Cross and our surrender of repentance and faith in Him. His gift of salvation and the down-payment of the Holy Spirit, which ensures our inheritance with Him in Heaven should create deep, resounding joy in our hearts. Then, when we have opportunity to give the sacrifice of praise by the fruit of our lips, it should come forth in a flood of resounding joy!

Anything less than resounding joy is not worthy of our Lord, not because our circumstances are always fantastic, but because He has saved us and placed our feet on the Solid Rock forever. Praise His holy name!
Hallelujah!

Tomorrow, I intend to read I Chronicles 16-19.
