A Vision of Heaven

Yesterday, we took the grandchildren to Stone Mountain for Christmas. It is kind of a tradition since we have had grandchildren old enough to enjoy it. I was amazed by the people we encountered. I saw people from more different people groups and heard more different languages being spoken than any other time in my life. It gave me a glimpse of the multitude which I will be a part of one day in Heaven before God's throne.(Revelation 7:9,10) I pray that we can all get that vision of heaven in our minds, so that we can prepare for that day well.

One day God will receive glory and praise from people of all people groups, tribes, and tongues which are on the earth. This shows me God's heart and our mission. God is in the business of seeking and saving people from every corner of the globe. His heart is to have people with Him for eternity in heaven. Our mission is to be His hands, feet, and voice to share the message of His salvation with all people groups, whatever it takes. The harvest must be the main focus of our hearts, since it is God's heart.

We must never let a day go by that we do not remember, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb." There is salvation in no other name than Jesus. He is God's only way to get to heaven and to be a part of that multitude. However, there are still thousands of people groups who have not heard about Jesus. We must finish the task of taking the gospel to the whole world. Please, plant this vision in your heart and make the commitment to pray, to share, to give and to go wherever God sends you to be part of completing this vision of Heaven.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Revelation 10-13.
