Satan is the Thief
Satan is crafty and subtle like a thief. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy lives.(John 10:10) Jesus comes to bring life, instead of death. He comes to bring abundant life beyond anything we can imagine. Which will it be for you?
I used this verse at the memorial service yesterday, because the Lord laid it on my heart. It is so important that we realize how good the thief is at infiltrating our lives to steal what the Lord wants us to have, to lead us to do nothing about our sins, so that we die separated from God, and to destroy the lives of people, even those who know Christ as Lord and Savior. We must hate Satan, and we must guard against the thief having any opportunity to come into our lives and bring his destruction.
The opposite is what we need to do. We must reject the thief and embrace the Good Shepherd. We trust Him as Lord, so that we not only receive eternal life, but an abundant life. He knows what is best, so if we surrender to Him, we have all that life can deliver. Unfortunately, most people think the thief's way is the way to experience fun and excitement in life, so they follow his ways, they do things their own way, and they end up in ruins. Please, do not let the thief work in your life. Jesus will keep you from his destruction, if you will only follow Him fully.
Tomorrow, I intend to read John 11-13.
