He is Coming to Judge with Righteousness
The Psalmist knew that the Lord was our Judge, and one day He would come to judge the world with righteousness.(Psalm 96:13) Each of us will be required to stand before the Lord and give an account of our life and how we measured up to His righteousness and truth. We should live every day with that end in mind.
There is a sense today that we can pick what is righteous and what is not. Many think that we can make up truth to conform to what we think. Nothing could be farther from the reality. The Absolute God of the universe has established right and wrong, good and bad. He has set truth once and for all. It is absolute truth which is always true for everyone, everywhere, all the time. He is the One who will judge by this righteousness and truth. In fact, He even went one more step. He left heaven and became a man, so that He experienced everything we go through. This means that on the Judgment Day, no one will be able to claim that God is unfair, because He doesn't know what we had to go through.
He is coming! Prepare for the time of judgment.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 98-100.
