A Day of Good News
There is Good News for everyone on earth: Jesus Christ is Lord, and He offers salvation to all who will confess Him as Lord of their lives, because He came to die and rise again to reconcile us to God! Do you know the Good News? If so, it is a sin to remain silent in this day of good news.(II Kings 7:9)
The four lepers found food for the hungry of Samaria after the Lord had dispersed the Syrian army. We have food for the hungry soul, living water that leads to eternal, abundant life in Christ. How can it be right for us to remain silent? Let's resolve to follow the example of the lepers and tell the Good News to all of those around us. Let's not commit the sin of silence, because God will not smile upon us for being ashamed of Jesus and the Gospel. Think of the joy that is waiting the hungry, thirsty souls who find Christ, the Lord of all. They may be skeptical, at first, but when they see how Jesus has changed you, they will be drawn to Him.
Tomorrow, I intend to read II Kings 10-12.
