Simple Faith
God rewards simple faith. The story of Ruth and Naomi is a great example of that truth. What do you do when your father-in-law and your husband die? She could have started over, but instead, Ruth decided to trust the Living God by following her mother-in-law and her God back to Naomi's hometown of Bethlehem.(Ruth 1:16) Because of this simple faith, God blessed both of them abundantly.
We do not know much about Naomi's faith. However, she must have told Ruth about God. When she had no way to care for herself, she prepared to return home. Ruth's decision to go with her was not just a selfish decision of self reservation. She made a bold change in her life. She was following God, even though she was going to a new land and a new life. She had to begin trusting God one day at a time. God loves that kind of faith. He will always bless those who choose to have simple faith in Him.
