There Shall Be Showers Of Blessing

God is good. God is Love. It is always His desire to bless us and to send showers of blessing on His people.(Ezekiel 34:26) It is our sins that block the blessings. However, at times God breaks through to send His blessings, because it seems He just can't stand to see the suffering any longer. Think about Moses being sent to Egypt to deliver the Israelites from their sufferings. God in His timing decided it was to deliver and to bless His people in an extraordinary way.

When Ezekiel delivered his message from the Lord, the people were being mistreated and misled by the "shepherds" of the people. I believe God was referring to the leaders, the prophets, and the priests, who should have been taking care to lead the people in His will. Instead, they were taking advantage of people. God could not stand it any more, so He turned against the shepherds, and told Ezekiel that He would take care of His people by Himself. He foretold the coming of Christ when He spoke of His servant David coming to shepherd the people. He promised showers of blessing.

I pray that God would decide to do the same thing right now. We need His showers of blessing!
