Sing to the Lord!
It is Sunday, and it is time to worship. Any time is a good time to worship the Lord Jesus, but especially on this day we celebrate His resurrection from the dead and His victory over sin, Satan, and the grave. God commands us to worship Him, but it is much more than that. He is worthy of all of our worship.(Psalm 100:1,2)
Without the Lord the universe doesn't exist. Without the Lord we are hopelessly lost in our sin and shame. Without the sacrifice of Jesus there is no forgiveness and reconciliation with God. He deserves our worship and praise 24/7. As I say, let's keep focused on Him.
Singing is a part of our worship. The Bible commands us express our hearts of thanks and praise to Him, and one way is to sing to the Lord. It is amazing to gather with others and sing together for His glory. I encourage each of us to make that a regular practice. Today would be a good day to start if you haven't been worshiping Him.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 101-103.
