Unity
Unity is from the Lord. Disunity comes from Satan and his forces. God desires for people to agree together by following His truth. The Devil leads people to reject the truth so he can get them to go in many different directions. It is very easy to see this pattern in the world around us.
God designed the family to have unity. The husband and wife are to be "one flesh." They are two people who become one in heart and purpose, when they follow God's will. The children do best when they have two parents who are agree on how they are going to raise them. When there is conflict it hurts the children.
In the church God desires unity among the believers. (Psalm 133:1) There is no reason any group of Christians should not be in unity. There is One God, One Father, One Lord Jesus, One Holy Spirit, One True Word of God. Like I said, God operates in unity, and that is His design for us as His followers.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 135-137.
